WHAT WE BELIEVE

GOD

God is the supreme ruler and creator of the universe. He has no beginning and no end and exists in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is God's one and only son, who lived a perfect and sinless life and sacrificed himself on the cross so that our sins would be forgiven. Jesus rose from the grave on the third day and now resides in heaven and will one day come again to reign as King.

HOLY SPIRIT

The third part of the trinity, the Holy Spirit is God's gift to us upon salvation. He offers the Christ-follower power and spiritual guidance for our day to day living.

SALVATION

Salvation is freedom. We believe each person is born into a nature that is at odds with God. In other words we choose to sin, or make choices that are contrary to God's character. The Bible tells us that there is nothing we can do in our own power to escape this. (Romans 3:23) However, God loves us so much that he sent his own Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross. By choosing to accept the sacrifice Jesus has made and believing that he rose again, God offers you complete forgiveness and an eternal relationship with Him.

BIBLE

The Bible is God's word to us, written by human authors under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible to be infallible and the ultimate source of truth. We believe the Bible to be intensely relevant for all times and all people.

BAPTISM

Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are called by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38; 10:47-48).

COMMUNION

Communion is a unique time in the presence of God when the elements of bread and juice (that represent the Body and Blood of the Jesus) are taken in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross (Matthew 26:26-29; I Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25).

MARRIAGE

We believe marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one man and one woman, instituted by and publicly entered into before God

(Matthew 19:4-6).
